Stop press: the Boughey Arms in Audley is reopening on Saturday, and it promises to be a very interesting place. Newly done out, guest real ales(it's a Thwaite's house), food on the way(not sure if that's fully happening by Saturday). This may well become quite a music place, there is talk of a festival in the back yard in August, and there's a potential function room upstairs . The Boat Band will be there on Saturday, friendly and acoustic, playing a few tunes in the corner. Paul Ball is the new landlord: many will know him as the boss of Peak Pursuits and the Audley Climbing Centre. The pub, incidentally, is next to the climbing centre, and opposite Peak Pursuits. It will be a good place to visit in the future, practise your climbing skills and slip next door for a pint after. Come and have a look...we'll be playing from about 8.30. Regards Greg and the Boat Band PS It's raining in Penkhull. Again. To whet your appetite: the Boat Band in Another Pub | ||
