From: Craig Pickering Our celtic explosion continues next Wednesday (Oct 26) when we welcome to The Biddulph Arms a new band on the folk scene KAN featuring much loved members of other musical outfits. Lau's Aidan O'Rourke makes an incredibly swift return (three weeks) only this time he is joined by Irish flute and fiddle maestro Brian Finnegan who many will remember fondly from his time with Flook. Adding multi-instrumentalist Ian Stephenson and drummer James Goodwin to the mix they should raise the pub roof! A new album composed primarily of new compositions is intriguingly titled 'The Ravishing Genius of Bones'. The start time is 8pm, admission is £12 and once again there is no support. Tickets/enquiries from me this time on 01782-523277 or via e-mail. Before that MARTHA TILSTON is back tomorrow night (Oct 21) in the rather lovely surroundings of Pool Hall in Rushton Spencer, as part of a successful series of house concerts. She will be joined by Tim Cotterill, last seen in John Jones' Reluctant Ramblers. A few places remain and they can be secured by contacting Graham or Vanya on 01260-226269. The start time is 8pm and admission is again £12 and usually involves something to eat. | ||
