Festive August Boat Band

Hi All For those wondering what to do for those unplanned mini breaks, a couple of Boat Band festival treats coming up. The weekend of Aug 12-14 is the Croissant Neuf Summer Party. They have organised(for at least 20 years)  the alternative solar and wind-powered field with the stripy big top at Glastonbury Festival, and now run their own festival as well, in an amazing site up a secret track near Usk in Monmouthshire. Well worth a visit. Our main gig is on the Saturday, but we will be there all the weekend doing a few sessions and cafe impromptus as well. Also Kate Barfield, our lead singer and fiddler, is running a harmony singing workshop. Kate leads two legendary Stoke-on-Trent community singing groups, the Loudmouth Women and the Clay Chorus, and brings a chunk of that energy to Usk. A great family orientated festival in a very safe and beautiful site, lots of music, lots of things to do, and very impressive food and real ale and cider bar.
