Pete Morton and the Biddulph Festival

It's all action for the next few weeks as the Biddulph Festival gets in full swing. Our first contribution is tomorrow evening (June 29) when Pete Morton visits the town for the first time in a liitle while. Those not familiar with Pete I can assure you that he is a warm and engaging performer and has a new cd 'Economy' to promote. His material is often covered by other artists....perhaps 'Another Train' recorded by The Poozies being his most famous song. Opening proceedings is Graham Dawson, one of our biggest supporters and who impressed everyone with his floor spot at the Potteries Folk Club recently. Two fine songwriters indeed.

We continue with our annual jamboree Folk In the Park (July 9) with one of our strongest line-ups featuring The Nanateas, Sarah Savoy and the Francadians, ahab and The Jalopenos. Advance tickets still only £12 before this Friday. Next up the incredibly talented Martin Simpson (July 13) with a special guest spot by Blair Dunlop. One of the country's most popular duos Chris While and Julie Matthews join forces with local choir Loudmouth Women on July 19th and we finish with a rare opportunity to catch father and daughter Steve and Martha Tilston sharing the stage on July 27th. Not to mention dozens of other events for all ages details of which can be found on the Biddulph website. Give Eric a ring again on 01782-514896 for further info/ticket reservations.
