Time for the next Boat Band come-all-ye at the Greyhound in Penkhull, Wednesday March 30. Starts around 9, if you want a good seat come early, it's not the biggest bar in the world(the bit where the singing that is, there are other bits of the pub).
The Boat Band will do its thing, plus lots of people tend to get up and contribute tunes songs and poems.
We are hoping to branch out with a bit of step dancing as well, so if you do any stepping, tapping, hornpiping, clogging or whatever bring your dancing shoes. Musicians will be provided! Inspirational videos attached at the end of this: we should be able to organise a bit of plywood, but if you want some stairs like Mr Bojangles you'll have to bring your own.
As ever these days, we will lead off a massed performance of the Stoke and Hanley Hornpipes in order to reinforce our Sense of Identity and invoke the Spirits of Place. If you don't know the tunes, a bit of googling should lead you to videos and sheet music.

Hope to see you
Greg and the Boat Band

PS This is not a folkie do. Any kind of songs welcome.

PPS On the list by accident? Sick of emails? Let us know and we'll delete you.

Bill Robinson(Mr Bojangles)

Our friend Tommy Orchard, gypsy step dancer in Devon,
