Gren Bartley this Wednesday

We return to action this Wednesday night (Mar 16th) when Gren Bartley makes his first visit to Biddulph. Described as a ''phenomenal guitarist and singer'' Gren's music mixes folk, blues, country....pretty much anything that comes under the folk umbrella. Hence his playing is often compared to Nic Jones, Kelly Joe Phelps and particularly Richard Thompson with whom her certainly shares a stylistic similarity. He appeared at last year's Shrewsbury Folk festival in the company of Tom Kitching who we also hope to book in due course. Their set at The Big Session was a personal favourite of the festival. Those of you who attended the Kirsty McGee gig last year may remember her hearty recommendation of Gren so come along and check him out.
