Some dates for your diaries!
BIG LOCK next weekend Sunday 3rd April 8pm
Guests Dayve Dean, Phil Maddocks are the Blue Yellows popping in? I think so! And of course regular session will take place.
Now I have been asked by Stu at the Big Lock if we'd be interested in putting some music into the Big Lock over the Middlewich Folk and Boat Festival weekend. It seems that the pubs are 'doing their own thing.' I have offered that we do our 'Big Lock Session' from 1pm on June 19th - Sunday afternoon right through until about 5ish when our friends Acoustac have a gig
. I'd like you all to come and take part if you can.
Also we are looking for some of you to come and do a set or two on Friday night 17th (there may be a soul night going on downstairs) but Stu would like some acoustic singers upstairs. I am nut sure there is a budget for artists but I have suggested that if Stu looks after the artists with food and a drink that may be ok for you. Do you want to let me know whether you'd be interested? Yoju may want to bring own PA or I could look into bringing mine over. I would like to have a presence at the festival as 'Cheshire Folk' and we can share publicity with the Big Lock for that.
Let me know please as soon as possible if you'd like to take part Friday night and/or Sunday afternoon (Stu has booked a band for Sat night already)
Some of you know that I have recently formed 'Cheshire Folk' and this is what we are up to; I would appreciate any support getting the word out for any of the gigs Lynne and I are putting on, if you could get some fliers out for us please let us know.
