Lymm Folk Club Weekly News 16-02-2011 LAST WEEK : Stewart's 'Back From Fuerteventura' Charity Night made £210.00 for his favourite charity, Warrington Bereavement Support! Richard Peach and Lesley Nelson opened the night for us, followed by Nick & Lin (their Guest Night is at the beginning of April!), and Bernard sang a couple before introducing Stewart to the gathered throng. After the break we had a 'Pre-Raffle-ite Floor Spot' from resident poet Doreen, who is also involved with WBS. There was an enhanced raffle this evening, as Stewart had brought some extra prizes, including copies of his CD 'Pathologically Positive' with each prize. Stewart sang a mix of old and new songs, including some self penned ones, finishing the evening with 'May Gaia Hold You' and Ron Trueman-Border's 'Chocolate' as an encore. We were spared the frogs and barracudas...! ;o) THIS WEEK: Singers Night at the Spread Eagle. NEXT WEEK: Tom Kitching and Gren Bartley (Thursday 24th February, Spread), tickets still available.
