Lymm Folk Club Weekly News

LAST WEEK :
Stewart's 'Back From Fuerteventura' Charity Night made £210.00 for his favourite charity, Warrington Bereavement Support!
Richard Peach and Lesley Nelson opened the night for us, followed by Nick & Lin (their Guest Night is at the beginning of April!), and Bernard sang a couple before introducing Stewart to the gathered throng. After the break we had a 'Pre-Raffle-ite Floor Spot' from resident poet Doreen, who is also involved with WBS. There was an enhanced raffle this evening, as Stewart had brought some extra prizes, including copies of his CD 'Pathologically Positive' with each prize.
Stewart sang a mix of old and new songs, including some self penned ones, finishing the evening with 'May Gaia Hold You' and Ron Trueman-Border's 'Chocolate' as an encore. We were spared the frogs and barracudas...! ;o)
THIS WEEK:

TICKETS:
Don't forget a saving can be made by booking your tickets in advance - use our online forms http://www.lymmfolkclub.org.uk/lymm_tickets.html which you can submit either by post (details on the form) or by email. Cheques to be made payable to Bernard Cromarty, or ask for my bank details if you prefer online banking.
WISH LIST:
Please be thinking about five guests you may wish to see at the club in the future - forms available from me at the club - I've started collating a 'wish list' for 2012 and beyond based upon that feedback. It's your club, so have your say!
I've had some submissions which weren't on forms - that's not a problem, as long as you get your say! Keep them coming! If you'd like to reply to this email with your votes, please do. The message will only come to me unless you click 'Reply to All', in which case it will reach the whole group.
MAILING LIST:
If you know anyone who wishes to be on our mailing list, simply forward this email to them, ask them to contact me on mailto:list@lymmfolkclub.org.uk, and I'll add them. The group is 'closed', which means only real people added or invited by me may become members. 'Spam Bots' and the like cannot add themselves and cause trouble. Richard Peach (of Nelson Peach) is also an administrator of the group, which is a precaution in case I'm indisposed for any reason.
