We're hoping that lots of people will come and support this 2011 new venture. We have already had interest and guaranteed attendance from as far away as Cheshire and the North East of England so we're hoping for a good night with a good turnout. Jiva, the increasingly popular and talented duo from Blyth, will be performing as will Mary McCombs who many of you will know locally. Bring your instrument or your voice or sign in for a slot at the door with Chris or Frank. Hope you can make it. Recent events have been successful and this fundraising night will be a musical extravaganza with 3 acts from different parts of the country. Opening up will be Sarah OKeeffe and Martin Karran, a very popular act from London who sing beautiful songs and are expert in harmony. Sarah is no mean guitarist either. I was wowed when I first watched them perform in Sussex and I am sure you'll love them. Following Sarah and Martin will be the lovely Charlie Barker. She's a household name on the Yorkshire folk scene and works harder on the circuit there than anyone I know. I know you will just love her style and her songs and her rapport with the audience. Our headliners for the night will be the superb Liverpool 5 piece band Elbow Jane who require no introduction whatsoever. From one end of the country to the other they are delighting crowds with their close harmony, beautiful vocals and truly memorable songs and stories. A treat of the first order. They're funny too.
